We went to Bintan with Amanda’s family and stayed in Bintan Island Club Med for four days. It was great fun for the kids, while the parents had a relaxing time over there!
Why We Like Bintan Island Club Med
- One of our most relaxing trips as parents, while the kids had great fun with the activities organised by the G.Os (Gentil Organisateur)
- Easily accessible from Singapore
- Energetic G.Os who know how to make our kids happy
- Cost for food and drinks, including beer and cocktails, are included in the package. Buffet food had good variety and quality, with some dishes nicely decorated
- Complimentary sports activities for parents, e.g. sailing, canoeing and archery
- Clean sandy beach and clear sea water
- Performances by the G.Os every night

What We Dislike About Bintan Island Club Med
- Rooms are old and dimly lit. Refurbishment is needed.
- Wine quality needs to be improved
- Not enough pool deck chairs
Getting There To Bintan Island Club Med
- Around an hour by ferry from Singapore Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal and then another 20 min by coach to the resort
Food In Bintan Island Club Med
- Complimentary buffet meals for breakfast, lunch and dinner
- Good variety and quality, but certainly not the best buffet food we have ever tried
- Complimentary drinks, including beer and cocktail
Practical Tips For Bintan Island Club Med
- Book early for sailing lessons on the day itself at the sea sports station
- Resort photographers will take lots of photos, especially of kids at kids club. The photos can be viewed and ordered at the photo shop near the main bar
- Try to go with other families with similar aged kids. They will have even more fun together in the kids club
